Nursery Ag Mechanic and Delivery Driver

In this role, you must have a high level of mechanical experience/skills and maintenance schedule management. You will be responsible for working with the general maintenance of all vehicles and farm machinery. Along with involvement in other areas including short-run delivery driving, irrigation repairs, light spraying in fields. The ideal candidate will have an ag background and enjoys working outside.

This role is a full-time scheduled position. Average hours are 40-50 hours per week. Work location is in Madison County, Anderson, IN area.

What you will be doing:

Work with the maintenance team to oversee the general maintenance of all vehicles and farm machinery.
Short-run delivery driving of trees and shrubs in the Spring and Fall (CDL is an added plus).
Irrigation maintenance.
Occasional tractor work including light-spraying in the fields.

What we’re looking for:

High level of mechanical experience and maintenance schedule management.
Ability to operate any equipment such as skid steers, digging/drilling tools, tractors etc.
Ability to cross train in operations positions as extra hands are needed.
Excellent time management.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to work well individually and in a team setting.

Nursery Sales Specialist

In this role, you must have a high level of knowledge of Midwest landscape plant materials. You will be responsible for assisting existing customers with sales and acquiring new customers for the business. You will be responsible for handling plant material during the sales process. This role is a full-time, Monday-Friday scheduled position. Average hours are 40-48 hours per week. Work is primarily remote but will require approximately 1 day a week at the main office in Anderson, IN.

We offer a competitive salary based on experience, salary starting at $60,000.

What you will be doing:

Assisting existing customers with sales via email and over the phone.
Networking to find new customers and build a rapport.
Calling customers to update on live inventory availability daily.
Cross train to assist with invoicing at the point of sale and fill in when necessary.
Some regional travel will take place throughout the year.

What we’re looking for:

High level of knowledge of Midwest landscape plant materials.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Excellent customer service and presentation skills.
High level of attention to detail.
High level of computer/typing skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
